Acute Ambulance & Medical Services Ltd was established in 2006, and has grown to become the largest independent ambulance service in Buckinghamshire supporting the NHS Ambulance Trust in Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire. AAMS are also a leading supplier of ambulance services across the UK.
Non-Emergency Patient Transport – Our reliable and efficient non-emergency patient transport service is perfect for those who require medical transportation but do not need emergency care. Whether you need to attend a routine appointment, receive treatment or be discharged from hospital, our team of skilled drivers and medical professionals will get you to your destination safely and comfortably.
Emergency Transport – At A.A.M.S, we understand that emergencies can happen at any time, which is why we offer a 24/7 emergency transport service subject to availability. Our highly trained medical team will respond quickly to your call and provide immediate medical attention during transportation.
Repatriation – If you or a loved one require repatriation due to illness or injury whilst abroad, our repatriation service is here to assist you. We have extensive experience in repatriating patients from all over the world and will ensure that the process is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
AAMS is accredited to the National Association of Private Ambulance Services, a self-regulatory body ensuring the standards and conduct of its members. We reinforce these standards with our own company policies and procedures, ensuring the highest quality of service you would expect.
AAMS is also a founder member of the Independent Ambulance Association.
AAMS specialises in the transportation of renal patients. We have extensive experience in managing these patients on a regular basis and understand the importance and impact transport can have on the lives of the patient and the Renal Units whose care the patients are under.
We also excel in Transfer of Care and have an excellent reputation providing hospital transfer and discharge lounges with a sensitive and “Patient First” approach to ensure not just a trouble-free transfer, but the “settling in” of patients upon reaching their transfer destination.a founder member of the Independent Ambulance Association.
Who We Are
AAMS was formed in 2006 and rapidly established itself as a provider of excellence in the fields of Ambulance Transportation and Event Cover.
Working closely with local hospitals, Primary Care Trusts and NHS Ambulance Trusts in the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire & Warwickshire areas, our provision of service excellence has helped us to grow steadily since our formation.
We provide medical teams for Ampthill, Bedford Blues & Ealing Trailfinders Champioship Rugby teams. London Pulse, Saracens Mavericks, England & Europe Netball, England Athletics & England Hockey. The Manchester Half Marathon, The Abingdon, Manchester & Milton Keynes Marathon’s, for corporate event days, team building activities and larger sporting and social occasions.
We have formed strategic partnerships with several third parties in order to help us achieve our goals.
