Our Ambulance Fleet includes Frontline Ambulances, High Depency Ambulances, PTS Ambulances and Wheelchair Vehicles. Rigorous checks are carried out prior to the commencement of each shift.
Vehicles are cleaned thoroughly after each patient transfer and are thoroughly mopped out and disinfected at the end of each shift.
We invest in the quality and performance of our service by having each vehicle serviced regularly above & beyond the manufacturers guidelines and schedules. Each vehicle is safety inspected every 13 weeks and daily routine maintenance checks are performed in accordance with company policies.
AAMS driving standards are monitored by 6 monthly driving license checks and internal monitoring of near miss or incidents involving company vehicles. All staff adhere to the NHS Ambulance Service Drivers Handbook and the Police Issue Road Craft Advanced drivers handbook.
All staff complete an initial Emergency Driver Training course, including Blue Lights and supplemented by annual certified refresher training. All current AAMS personnel have experience of blue light transfers.
